Manifesto
We exist because frank talk on gender, sexuality, and human rights is still pushed to the margins in Indonesia. Public discourse is patchy, while prejudice and discrimination continue to shape the lives of women, LGBT+ people, and other vulnerable groups. We step in to bridge that gap and chip away at stigma every single day.
- Volunteer-powered, inclusivity-driven – everything we do is built by volunteers and open to all.
- Intersectionality is non-negotiable – gender, sexuality, human rights, and the environment are deeply entwined.
- Evidence before ego – research, lived experience, and critical dialogue guide our actions.
- Solidarity beats charity – change happens when communities move together, horizontally and transparently.
An Indonesia where conversations on gender, sexuality, and human rights are mainstream; where laws protect rather than police bodies; where queer, feminist, and other marginalised voices shape policy; and where environmental justice fully recognises gendered and sexuality-based vulnerabilities.
We are an Indonesia-based collective founded in 2017 and run entirely by volunteers.
Our toolkit is simple:
- Learn & share – open discussions, public talks, film festivals, and an online library of free resources.
- Create & publish – infographics, articles, and research that translate complex ideas into accessible stories.
- Advocate & collaborate – partnerships with civil-society groups, academics, and decision-makers to push structural change.
- Measure & improve – we track programmes, audiences, and volunteer growth to keep ourselves accountable.
