Analyst, Human Rights Programme
Mutiara contributes to the Human Rights Programme at GSHR through research, analytical writing, and public engagement initiatives that explore political and human rights issues in Indonesia.
She has been actively involved in journalism, advocacy, and civil society initiatives, contributing through research, writing, and public communication on human rights, gender, and environmental issues. Her experience includes conducting field reporting, interviews, and news writing as part of a campus press organisation. She also contributed to ecological justice publications during her internship at WALHI Riau and has supported advocacy initiatives in women’s and community-based organisations in Riau. In addition, she facilitates collective care practices with queer youth through Participatory Action Research (PAR) approaches.
Mutiara is currently pursuing her undergraduate studies in International Relations at Universitas Riau, where she actively engages in research, journalism, and community-based initiatives related to human rights, gender justice, and ecological issues.
