Rickdy Vanduwin

Co-founder & Director, Climate Programme

Rickdy is responsible for shaping the organisation’s overall strategy and leading its environmental programme on nature and climate-related issues.

He has over four years of experience in sustainability research and policy, spanning a think tank, UN agencies, private firms, and an investor network. Currently, he works as an Investor Practice Analyst at the Asia Investor Group on Climate Change, where he analyses climate disclosures and benchmarks institutional investors across Asia to assess alignment with climate goals and regulations.

Prior to joining AIGCC, Rickdy worked with the Climate Change and Urban Environment team at the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) headquarters in Nairobi. There, he supported research on renewable energy and energy poverty in cities and contributed to preparations for climate diplomacy events and leadership engagements. He has co-authored several policy briefs for UN agencies and Think20, an official engagement group of the G20. Previously, he also served as a Research Analyst and led the Children, Social Welfare, and Health research cluster at the Resilience Development Initiative, a leading Indonesian think tank focused on strengthening the resilience of vulnerable communities to climate change.

Rickdy holds a Master’s degree in Climate Studies, with a specialisation in Climate, Society, and Economics, from Wageningen University & Research. As part of his degree, he completed a Selective Track in Sustainable Development Diplomacy and an MSc Honours Programme. He also attended summer schools at Universiteit Utrecht and Università di Bologna.
